When Should I Order for My Wedding?

Once you have decided on the quantity/types of designs you require you can place your order through the website, using the order notes to detail any special requests, such as colour changes and finishing  touches. Please also make a note of your wedding date/the date you require your flowers for and we can book you in the diary.  We aim to make and dispatch flowers 2-3 weeks before your wedding. By ordering early your order is assured (we do get fully booked for the busier summer months) and your flowers will arrive in perfect condition for the big day.

How long will dried flowers last?

Accepted Answer

Dried flowers will last and last, especially when stored appropriately - away from sunlight (to prevent colour fade) and sources of heat, moisture and humidity, but to ensure they are at their very best we recommend sending them up to one month before the Wedding Day.  Our preserved roses are at their best for up to four months.

Question 3

How do I care for my flowers?

We recommend keeping your flowers in the box that they are sent in, but unwrapped from their packaging until they are needed.  All of the flowers are either naturally dried and preserved. Some of the flowers and foliage have a little dye added to them to enhance their colour.  It is important to let the air circulate as they are a natural product and if the environment was to become humid then the flowers could become musty if kept in bubble wrap.

We always recommend that the flowers are stored away from sunlight (to prevent colour fade) and sources of heat, moisture and humidity.

Bouquets should be stored upright in vases or jam jars to ensure they retain their shape.

Question 4

How can I contact you to arrange a bespoke design?

All of our items are made to order for each customer.  Therefore we can include/exclude any flowers and colours that you would like to create a design that’s right for you.  Please be aware that this will sometimes impact on the prices shown as some types of flowers are more costly than others. Straightforward changes such as “please include a little pink in the buttonholes” can be made through ordering items on the website and adding a note to the order details page before processing payment.  For larger orders and more complex changes please get in contact with us and we will be happy to discuss a bespoke design and a tailored quote.

You are welcome to send ideas for inspiration, we know how much our brides love a Pinterest Board!  However we will not copy the work of other floral designers and are sometimes limited in what we can achieve with dried and preserved flowers.  We will always work with you to find a design idea that’s right for you and can send pictures once making up your order to check that you are happy with the choice of colours and flowers.

Can I visit you to discuss my order and see the flowers available?

We are always happy to meet with customers and have a workshop in Blundeston, Suffolk (open most weekdays,  Mon-Fri 9-2.30). Please contact us to make an appointment for a consultation.

Question 6

How are the flowers packaged/delivered?

Accepted Answer

The flowers are well packaged and secure in sturdy boxes, wrapped in tissue paper/bubble wrap with care instructions included. Depending on the size and value of your order we will either send the flowers via Royal Mail or DPD 24 hours.  A signature is required for larger orders so if you would like the delivery address to be a work address or family members please let us know.

Unfortunately we cannot take responsibility for any orders that go missing if you have asked for them to be left in a “safe place.”

Question 7

Where do you deliver to and how long will my order take to arrive.

Accepted Answer

We deliver to UK mainland addresses.  We can also deliver further afield (Ireland etc) if required, but please contact us before placing an order so that we can provide a quote for any additional postage charges.

For small orders placed through the website, where no special mention of the wedding date has been made, we will usually aim to deliver within 1 week of receiving the order, for larger wedding orders the dispatch times can be longer than this, so please contact us first before placing an order, as we do get busy during the Summer months.

For fresh wreath kit orders please let  us know when these are required for.  The listings will state when we start posting from and once wreath kit season is underway we post daily.

For orders that are required in a shorter time frame – for example funeral tributes and last minute orders -  please contact us first, we will always endeavour to help where possible.

During busy times, when our delivery times may be longer or when we are fully booked for particular months, we will make this clear on the website product pages.

Question 8

What are your delivery charges?

Postage is dependent on the quantity of items and the size of the box that we will send them in. It is normally between £4-£10 for UK mainland.

Question 9

How should I hold my bouquet?

Accepted Answer

If your bouquet is a rounded shape, hold it angled away from your body, belly button rather than chest height.  You want your wedding dress to take centre stage!

Taller, thinner bouquets look great positioned in the centre of the body.

We recommend you hold your bouquet away from your dress.  As with any natural flowers petals can come away.  Furthermore some dried and preserved flowers are enhanced with dyes to strengthen their colour. For the most part, the dyes are fixed and colourfast but please ensure you hold your bouquet slightly away from your dress to avoid any potential colour transfer.

Question 10

What information do I need to provide for a funeral order?

When placing an order for a funeral through the website we will contact you to gain the following information: The full name of the deceased, the Funeral Directors name and full delivery address, the time and date of the funeral.

We will also ask whether you would like a personal message included on a card to be attached to the tribute.

What is your returns policy?

Accepted Answer

We make every effort to ensure that all orders are made to the highest quality.  As all of our orders are made bespoke for each customer we can only offer returns when the item is faulty or damaged.  Please contact us before making a return.  Any requests for a return must be made within 24 hours and be accompanied with photographic evidence.

Question 12

Can I take my flowers abroad for my wedding?

Accepted Answer

Dried flowers travel really well and we have had many brides take them away with them. We always recommend checking customs/import laws of the country you are travelling to.  We advise carrying them onto planes in hand luggage.
